Anatomy of a Blog: Search This Site

Did you know that you can search the Library blog? You can search the blog a few different ways, but today I'll be introducing the Search This Site search box. (An example is to the right; the actual search box is in the right sidebar of the blog.) Using the Search This Site box allows you to search using keywords that you think might appear in our blog. For instance, if you wanted to read all of the blog articles we've posted that mention the bean bag chairs in the Library, you could type bean bag into the Search This Site box, click the Search button and retrieve just those articles. Try it! You should get two articles that include photos of students using the bean bag chairs.

You can also search the Library blog by using the search box at the top left of the blog (see example at right). This is a default search box provided by Blogger and retrieves the same search results as the Search This Site box.

Stay tuned for more ways to "search" the Library blog. Next Tuesday: Blog Archives.
