Free Trial: Historical Databases WITH FULL-TEXT

The Darling Library subscribes(1) to two databases of historical indexes and abstracts: America: History and Life and Historical Abstracts. Now, for a limited time(2), we are participating in a free trial of their full-text features. This means that after finding a relevant article citation, you can link to the complete full-text of the article.

America: History and Life covers the history and culture of the United States and Canada from prehistory to the present with selective indexing for 1,700 journals from 1964 to present. And with full-text, it provides links to the full-text of nearly 300 journals and 100 books.

Historical Abstracts covers the history of the world (excluding the United States and Canada) from 1450 to the present, including world history, military history, women's history, history of education, and much more. It provides selective indexing of historical articles from more than 1,800 journals in over 40 languages back to 1955. And, with full-text we have access to the complete articles of more than 400 journals and 150 books.

Check them out and let us know what you think.
