Looking for articles about the human impact to the environment? Writing a paper about renewable energy or sustainable agriculture? Then the GreenFILE research database might be a good place to start your research!
GreenFILE is a collection of scholarly, government and general interest titles that "includes content on the environmental effects of individuals, corporations and local/national governments, and what can be done at each level to minimize these effects."

GreenFILE is multidisciplinary by nature and "draws on the connections between the environment and a variety of disciplines such as agriculture, education, law, health and technology." (Quotes from EBSCOhost GreenFILE information page.)

Need an environmental image for your paper or presentation? Search GreenFILE for images such as photographs, illustrations, maps, diagrams, charts and graphs.

To search GreenFILE:
  1. Go to http://library.hiu.edu
  2. Click the Research Databases tab above the search box on the Library Home Page
  3. Choose Sciences from the Select a Subject Area drop down list
  4. Click GreenFILE

Cool feature:

You have the option to listen to the article being read and download the audio version as an MP3 if you wish.
