Theological eBooks in the Darling Library

Yesterday Robin wrote about the reasons why the Darling Library doesn't have access to electronic copies of the books used for exegetical biblical study. But did you know that we do provide a large number of ebooks specifically purchased for Religious and Theological studies? We provide access to over 1,700 titles in this area of study through our EBSCOHost eBook Collection (previously known as NetLibrary). This collection also provides many titles appropriate for cross disciplinary studies of religion AND social sciences, history, business, philosophy, and literature.

Here is a sampling of cross disciplinary titles in the EBSCOHost eBook Collection:
  • African-American Children at Church: A Sociocultural Perspective
  • An Ethic for Enemies: Forgiveness in Politics
  • Culture Wars: Secular-Catholic Conflict in Nineteenth-century Europe
  • Economic Justice: Selections From Distributive Justice and a Living Wage
  • A History of the English Bible as Literature
Current students, staff & faculty at HIU may access the EBSCOHost eBook Collection:
