Out With the Old

Does this look like a room in your house? If you are thinking about divesting yourself of some of your abundance, consider a book donation to the Darling Library.

We gladly accept donations of books (new or used) for which you will receive a gift-in-kind receipt for tax purposes. Those books that support the curriculum at Hope are labeled in appreciation and processed for shelving as soon as possible for students to check out.

Other books are sold to raise funds to buy books we need -- and to support literacy through Books for Africa at the same time! We do this through an online used book sale hosted by Better World Books.

Then, when you are ready to buy more books for yourself, check out what we have for sale online. Go to http://www.betterworldbooks.com/ and enter our zip code (92831). Click on the Hugh and Hazel Darling Library’s Browse button to directly support our Library. (Shipping is always free!!)

We get a quarterly check and the satisfaction of knowing we have partnered together to make an impact on the world. Find out more about making book donations to the Darling Library at http://library.hiu.edu/donate.html.
