The Darling Library is pleased to announce its first Book Signing Event on Thursday, May 22 at 6:00pm featuring Dr. Paul McReynolds.

Dr. Paul McReynolds will be in town teaching a Seminar in New Testament: Baptism & the Lord’s Supper May 19 – 23, 2008 and has agreed to be available this evening to discuss his life work and mission at a reception in his honor.

"Dr. Paul" as he is most commonly known, graduated from Pacific Bible Seminary in 1958 and began teaching at Pacific Christian College in 1968. He is known for his outstanding biblical scholarship, effective teaching methods, his love for students, and
his wild socks.

After retiring in 2000, “Dr. Paul” moved to Half Moon Bay where he continues to teach online, most recently for the University of San Francisco.

He has written numerous articles on the New Testament for scholarly journals and has contributed to various scholarly reference works, including The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia (Eerdmans, 1988). He is also the author of a commentary on the Gospel of Mark (Standard Pub., 1989). His Word Study Greek English New Testament (Tyndale House, c1999) is a familiar exegetical tool that is still in print and will be available for sale by the Hope International University bookstore at this event.

Dr. Paul has 5 grandchildren all of whom will be in college this fall. He does volunteer work in the community of Half Moon Bay and enjoys traveling with his wife, Madeline.

Alumni, current and prospective students, as well as others interested in dialog with a man with a heart for the mission and purpose of the church and biblical scholarship are invited to this free reception.

His Word Study Greek English New Testament and the out of print commentary on Mark will be available for sale at the event.
