Featured Author: David Timms

The Darling Library recently added Living the Lord's Prayer, by David Timms, published by Bethany House in June 2008.

Dr. Timms has served as Chair of the Graduate and Professional Studies Ministry Department and Professor of New Testament & Theology at Hope International University since 2001. Additionally, he writes regularly for two email publications. Bare Roots: Uncovering the Roots of Christian Faith, with Dr. Chris Davis, which is intended for small group discussion or personal enrichment and InHope written to encourage believers in their spiritual formation.

Previously, he co-wrote Just Leave God Out Of It: The Cultural Compromises Christians Make (NexGen, Cook Communications Ministries, 2004) with Tim Riter, Adjunct Professor of Communication at Hope - also available in the Darling Library for check out. (See a review on Christian Book Previews.)

What's next? Waiting on God in a Culture that Waits for Nothing, is tentatively scheduled for release in Fall 2009 by Bethany House.
